My Reduction

A recount from the decision to the recovery!

Hello everyone!!! been 3 years and here's an update!

Hi all!! I just wanted to pop back in and say hi again, it's been 3 years.......or maybe 4, since I had this done.  I wanted to let everyone know that I have begun another personal website as I am about to undergo Gastric Bypass.  Yes you heard correctly.....I am having Gastric Bypass after quite a few medical issues and some major weight gain/problems.  Please check it out if interested, I have only just started the site, but looking forward to adding to it.  www.sarahsgastricbypass.com  Enjoy!

Wow! It's been over a year!

Wow, I can't believe it's been over a year since I had this surgery!  Well an updat now..............I am doing very well, I am a b cup and looks as though I am going to stay that way.  I got smaller over time, guess I was still swollen or something, all of a sudden at around 8 months post op I noticed I was alot smaller.  I am happy though.

In September of 2006 I found a tumor under my right arm, after lots of tests (ultrasounds, Mammos, etc.).  I was schedualed for surgery to remove the tumor which was approx 3cm, by 3cm, by 2cm.  My surgery to remove the tumor was on November 27th.  I was in surgery for over an hour as there were complications.  The tumor turned out to be 6cm, by 6cm, by 4cm.  Very Large!.  I was on home care for 3 weeks after as I had drains and all that needed tending to.  I had the drains removed 2 weeks after surgery and got the results of Biopsy 5 weeks after surgery.  Cancer free, no cancer what so ever!  I was thrilled.  I started to question whether the breast reduction had something to do with all this...................My surgeon said no, it just happend.  I am telling this story because for all the women who read this...........Please! Please always do breast exams!  you need to keep up on this no matter your age.  I am 32 and went through this, I thank god it wasn't cancer, but still scary in itself!!!!!

Thank-You!!

Well It looks as though I am done editing this site now.  Week 6 has been posted (Finally!!).  I am now almost 3 months post op and doing well.  I want to thank everyone who signed the guest book, if you still want to sign please feel free to do so!!  I will add another page after my 3 month check up.  Thank you all for you support!!! Sarah

Welcome!!!

Hi all and welcome to my personal diary of my Breast Reduction.  I decided to do this site as a means to help other woman who are facing a decision on wether or not to have a breast reduction.  I hope you enjoy my site and feel free to ask me anything about my journey in my guest book.  I will get back to you personally via the guest book, or if it's really personal via email.  I would love to hear other stories as well.  So again enjoy yourself on my site, hopefully it's informative, and please understand this is a personal site and I am being very candid with my stories and journal.  If you are offended in anyway I apologize but as I said before I am not holding anything back.  I feel it's more real that way!
